Homer Glen

The Village of Homer Glen is located just 11 miles southeast of Chicago in Will County, Illinois. The Village was incorporated in 2001 and is home to about 23,000 residents.

Covering 22 square miles Homer Glen is Will County’s third largest municipality. The gently rolling terrain is dotted with prairie grasses, stands of trees, and cultivated fields. Two 18 hole golf courses help the Village attain its rolling vista. A sizable number of residents have horses on their property.

Almost two square miles of the Village is owned by Will County Forest Preserve. Included is Messenger Woods and Spring Creek. Spring Creek is the Forest Preserve’s only equestrian preserve which offers 3.2 miles of trails that wind through wooded areas and prairie. The trail can also be used by hikers and cross country skiers.
